Late C18/early C19 corner block facing Chapel Hill and Beacon Hill. Adjoining
No 17 (qv) and in similar style. Red brick with wide moulded eaves cornice
and hipped slate roof. 3 storeys and attics. Chapel Hill facade has 1 bowed
window at 1st floor. Ground floor shop front with iron cresting above. Rounded
corner has 3 light bowed sashes to 1st and 2nd floors. Good, early C19, double
bowed shop front, shop door has curved stone steps with iron handrail at one
side. Facade to Beacon Hill has Tuscan porch and doorway with fanlight and
side lights. Louvred shutters to 1st floor window. 1 blank on each floor here
and ground floor has unbarred sash.
