Barn. Probably late C17 with C19 and later alterations. Timber-frame with
weatherboards and brick infill, brick gable to east, tiled roof. Five
structural bays aligned north-west/south-east. Full-height sliding doors
to threshing floor in north-east side, two bays from north-west end; C19
brick south-east gable has two diamond shaped ventilator patterns about
five feet from ground level and central ledged opening above. Forms part
of the farm complex to Poolend Farmhouse (qv). (RCHM Vol II, p 155).
