Byre or barn now a house. C17, floored and turned into 3 houses in C18.
Timber frame infilled with red brick. Steep old red tile roof. A long 1½
storeys range facing S adjoining higher block to W. Front has 3 small
gabled dormers with leaded casements at the eaves, 3 3-light C18 leaded
casements, and plank door at W end with small window over. Ends of
joists of inserted floor lodged on horizontal timbers at different
levels. Blocked doorway to W of 2 ground floor windows. E gable has
exposed frame with jowled posts, straight braces to irregular tie-beam,
collar clasping purlins and a 3-light window at ground and first floor.
Probably an adjunct to the older house to W (q.v.). (RCHM Typescript).
