C15/C16. High 5 bay aisled barn. Timber frame on brick base, weatherboarded,
with steep gabled roof now covered in corrugated sheeting. Projecting gabled
porch central on N side, small winnowing door in opposite wall. 1 bay
hipped extension on bl endat same height. Lower timberframed weatherboarded
extensions on all sides with corrugated sheet roofs. Interior has passing
braces from wall posts to tie beams and long curved braces from arcade posts
to arcade plates. Multi-purlin roof with wind braces possibly a reroofing
of earlier aisled structure in C15/C16. Exceptionally interesting late
medieval survival. Better preserved of 2 aisled barns in area.
