Rainwater head on south east side elevation has date 1728 and initials
MMM. Red brick house with vertical flush bands of grey blue brick. Steeply
pitched hipped tiled roof behind parapet and moulded brick cornice. 3
storeys, 6 flush sash windows under cutter flat arches, first floor keyblocks.
2 storey later central pedimented bay with fluted volutes to first floor
band and to dentil cornice and pediment, Ground floor of bay has round
arched porch. Interior retains original staircase and some panelling.

The Council Buildings, Nos 6, 6A, 8, 10, 10A, 12, 14, 14A, 14B, 14C, 16,
20, 24, 24A, 26, 32 to 42 (even), Gateway and Wall in front of Wynne's
Almhouses. Nos 46, 46A and 48 to 52 (even) form a group.
