House, now club. Circa 1760. Flemish bond brick with red quoins and dressings;
half-hipped M-shaped old tile roof; brick end and rear lateral stacks. Double-
depth plan. Mid Georgian style. 2 storeys and attic; 5-window range, with 3
central bays brought forward. Panelled double doors set in panelled reveals
with Greek key soffit; pedimented doorcase has fluted pilasters with dentilled
cornice. Gauged flat brick arches over 12-pane sashes. Raised storey band;
bracketed wood cornice; flat-roofed dormers. Late C19 extension of brick with
Welsh slate roofs, to rear. Interior: ground-floor room has C18 plaster cornice
and decorative fanlight over altered door to rear; stair-hall to rear has
bracketed cornice and fine open-well staircase with ramped mahogany handrail,
turned balusters set on open string and foliate carved brackets. First-floor
room to front has panelled soffits to beams, panelled walls with dentilled
cornice and two classical fireplaces with flutes friezes.
