Cottage. 1906, by Bennett and Bidwell. Roughcast over brick; gabled plain
tile roof; brick ridge and end stacks. Rectangular plan. One storey and
attic; 5-window range which has segmental-arched door set in gabled front of
cross wing to right which has lean-to roof continued over verandular to
right side wall. Two to 3-light wood casements with glazing bars,
asymmetrically arranged. Interior: plank doors with Norfolk latches; simple
wood fireplace in living room to rear; winder stair to left of front door.
Praised by C B Purdom (The Garden City, 1913) for its compact planning.
