Probably C15. Two timber-framed gabled houses, 3 storey with over-hanging fronts.
Dated 1450, it is not known on what evidence. Georgian sash windows and casements.
One 1st floor oriel, on each side of which are reproductions of C17 out slate-hanging.
Small slate roof to projecting shop fronts to Catherine Street and St Martin's
Lane. Many internal features remain including screens, fireplaces, garderobes
and late C16 painted decoration on the joists and beams. Evidence of cruck
construction within.
