Small house. Circa mid C17 with C20 rear addition. Rendered stone and cob walls.
Gable-ended slate roof. Brick stack at each gable-end.
Plan: 2-room plan, formerly with central passage, larger room to left which has
slight projection at the front. Both rooms heated by gable-end fireplaces. C20
rear additions.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-window front of early - mid C20 2 and 3-light
casements, the 3-light ground floor window is in a slight projection to left of
centre. C20 part-glazed door to right of centre.
Interior: right-hand room has fireplace with roughly chamfered wooden lintel and
there is a chamfered ceiling beam with hollow step stops in the left-hand room. An
original 3-light chamfered wooden mullion window survives in the rear wall of the
right-hand room, enclosed by a C20 rear addition. The roof timbers were entirely
replaced in the 1950's after a fire.
