Cottage and adjoining front garden walls and railings. Probably late C17 or early
C18 cottage, with mid to late C19 alterations and probably early C20 additions.
Rendered, probably over cob, with wheatstraw thatched roof and brick end stacks.
Plan and development: Two-room central-entrance plan with integral end stacks,
facing south-east. Two storeys. Probably early C20 two-storey outshut at rear.
Walls and railings enclosing front garden.
Exterior: Symmetrical 2-window front; C19 boxed 8-pane glazing bar sashes (each leaf
of 4 x 1 panes). Central doorway with C19 four-panelled door and late C19 or early
C20 gabled wooden porch.
Front garden with stone walls to sides and C19 cast-iron railings to front with
central cast-iron gate. Close external inspection of house denied at time of survey
(February 1988).
Interior not inspected.
