approximately 8 metres west of
- Church of St Thomas of Canterbury
GV II
Pair of headstones. Dated 1756 and 1784 to John Dennis and his father
Philip. Slate. The right-hand one to John has a straight head with curved
sides, a curved winged angel's head. Flanked by ornate scrolled decoration
and decoration down the sides. The left-hand headstone, to Philip, has a
straight head with scrolled sides, 3 winged angel's head at the top and
the inscription "Distinguished for his industry probity and blameless
life". Epitaph below.
