GV II

House. 1853 (datestone), possibly a remodelling of an earlier building. Stone
rubble with slate roofs gabled at ends, some asbestos slates, and a rendered axial
stack on the ridge. Single depth range with a central front wing forming a T-plan.
The left-hand end was formerly in use as a shop. Modest Tudor style details. 2
storeys. Asymmetrical 4 window front. To the right of the wing the roof line is
lower and there are no windows to the front elevation. A gabled stone porch with a
chamfered 4-centred outer doorway abuts the right return of the wing. The wing has 1
ground and 1 first floor window, each a 2-light casement with 4-centred arched lights
with glazing bars under flat stone arches. To the left of the wing there is a
further entrance below a 1-light first floor 4-centred arched window. A large window
to the left of the door was formerly the shop window and has 4 tall narrow panes and
a timber lintel. 2 first floor blocked openings high under the eaves.
Interior not inspected.
