SX 89 NW CREDITON HAMLETS

7/84 Moor Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C19. Stucco on rubble and brick with exposed brick north-east
gable end; rubble and brick stacks with exposed brick chimney shafts; slate roof.
Gable-ended, 2 room, double depth house with central stair plan, faces south-east.
3 stacks all in gable ends, 1 each side to front and another to rear left. 2
storeys with attics in roofspace. Symmetrical 3 window front of 16 pane sashes.
Central 6 panel door with margin lights. Verandah across front now has corrugated
plastic roof supported on plain iron posts with iron railings between, with 7 bays
having 4 square panels with slender, decorative, wrought iron work. Projecting
eaves supported by pairs of shaped brackets and high chimney shafts rise from roof.
Left gable end includes narrow 9- and 12-pane sashes and rear 3 window front of 16
pane sashes. Interior preserves much original joinery and plasterwork.
