Candleglow Cottage
GV II
House pair and shop. C17 or earlier and extended mid C20. Timber framed and
tile hung on red brick base, with plain tiled roof. Two storeys, the roof
stepped up to right and half-hipped with large central stack cluster. One
wooden casement to left, 2 to right on 1st floor, and 1 to ground floor to left,
with half-glazed door in rear of outshot of Hughenden's (item 15/242). Ground
floor to right obscured by 'Hair Business' hairdresser's shop, large 1 storey
extension with hipped rooflet, with plate glass fenestration and recessed
central door.
