Milestone. Late C18 - early C19. Sandstone. Narrow, upright round-headed slab
is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case letters and Roman numerals Top appears once to have been taller since beginning of inscription and first word is made illegible by later cutting of a bench-mark. What can be read
says '....is the Exeter Turnpike XVIIII + ½ MILES FROM EXON'.
