Small cottage. Probably late C17. Rendered stone rubble. Thatch roof with gable
ends. Tall lateral stone rubble stack to rear with drip, tapered cap, and offsets,
heightened in brick.
2 room plan with direct entry into larger room to right which is heated by the rear
lateral stack with winder staircase in projecting rear stair turret adjoining to
left of stack. Small narrow inner room to left is unheated. Extending to left is
a single storey outbuilding, the thatch roof continuous over the whole range.
2 storeys. Single 2-light dormer window, 8 panes per light above 2 small
rectangular window openings each to left of a plank door, the right-hand (entrance)
door having a corrugated iron gabled canopy. 2-light casement 8 panes per light to
each floor at right gable end.
Interior not accessible.
The cottage is very unspoilt and in a picturesque situation overlooking Combe Martin
Bay.
