House subdivided into 3 cottages. C17 or earlier origins C18 and C20 alterations.
Whitewashed and rendered, probably stone rubble ; slate roof, gabled at ends ; 2 rear
lateral stacks with stone shafts, axial stack.
Plan: Single depth 3 room and through passage arrangement with lower end to the left
and hall stack backing on to the passage. Rear right wing at right angles to the
lower end ; single-storey rear centre lean-to. The range has been subdivided into 3
; No. 7 is the lower end and passage, No. 9 the hall, No. 11 the inner room.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4 window front with front door into passage to
left of centre ; door into inner room at right and direct entry into the hall in the
centre. Fenestration of C19 or C20 2-light timber casements, 2 panes per light.
Interior: No. 9 only inspected. This has 1 cross beam and 1 half beam with chamfers
and step stops and an open fireplace with stone jambs and a chamfered timber lintel.
The roof trusses are C18 and show evidence of charring said to originate with a
thatch fire. Interiors of Nos. 7 and 9 not inspected but features of interest may
