Granary. Mid-late C18. Local hand-made brick laid to Flemish bond and including
decorative use of burnt headers; volcanic rubble footings; slate roof. Square on
plan. Granary over small cartshed with pyramidal roof. Granary loading bay on east
side. All other elevations are the same comprising a double arch to the ground
floor. The piers are square in section, their lower parts of volcanic rubble and
brick above with plain volcanic stone imposts. The brick arches are segmental,
almost round-headed. Small windows to granary under gauged brick flat heads.
Cartshed is now partly filled. Plain carpentry detail to granary interior.
