Farmhouse. Early C19. Roughcast on rubble core, slated roof to gables with C19
brick stacks.
Plan and development: L-plan. Front range with 2 large rooms flanking central
staircase hall; wing at right-angles to rear left with 3 service rooms including
heated kitchen and pantry.
Exterior: symmetrical front of 2 storeys, 3 bays, very large 16-pane sash windows
with slender glazing bars, exposed sash boxes. Central door opening with a 6-
panelled door, later gabled brick porch with segmental arch. Wing to rear left with
2-light casements and 2 large horizontally sliding sash windows.
Interior: hall with fine dog-leg staircase, turned newel, stick balusters, moulded
handrail. Early C19 joinery including doors, architraves, window shutters and
fitted cupboards. Mid C19 chimneypiece in left ground floor room. Large stone
setts to kitchen and pantry.
