Riverton Cottage

House. Probably late Cl7. C20 alterations. Painted rendered stone and cob.
Half-hipped thatch roof. 2 tall lateral stacks to rear with offsets, bread oven
projections and brick shafts. Original plan obscured by conversion of house into 2
cottages and later returned to single dwelling. 2 storeys. Virtually symmetrical
facade with 5-window range with eyebrow dormers. C19/C20 2-light casements 2 panes
per light. Ground floor windows have timber lintels. Hipped thatch roof to central
porch. C20 lean-to extension at right end. Single crossed ovolo-moulded beams to
room to left of entrance.
