House, C17 possibly earlier origins extended in C19, roof raised in C20.
Whitewashed rendered rubble. Slate roof with gable ends. Rendered stack backing
onto through-passage in 3 cell plan with stack with offset at left gable end heating
lower end. A 2-storey extension was added in C19 at upper end projecting at right
angles to rear with brick stack at its near gable end. 2-storeys 4-window range of
C20 casements and gabled brick porch with 1/2-glazed door. C19 right-angled
projection to rear has a C19 2-light window 8-panes per light above a 2-light window
and plank door with cambered brick arches. Scroll-stopped beams to the principal
room and joists intact in dairy and hall except where they replace the former
staircase in the latter. Stairs now inserted in through-passage. Roof trusses
replaced in C20.
