TL 51 SE AYTHORPE RODING ROUNDBUSH GREEN

5/2 MORRAL'S COTTAGE

GV II

Cottage, C18, with C19 and C20 extensions. Timber-framed, plastered,
roof thatched. Two bays with original chimney stack at W end, extended to
W in C19, further extended to W in C20, with C20 extension to N of that.
Single storey with attics. 4 C20 casement windows and C20 porch,
C20 casement window in plain dormer. Half-hipped at E end only.
Timber framing exposed internally in 2 E bays; primary straight bracing;
floor supported on clamps but believed to be original. This building has
been in the form of 2 cottages, and retains both stairs, now combined into one.
