Three cottages in row, now two. Late C18 or early C19. Limewashed and part
rendered rubble, tarred plinth band, low pitched slate roof. Two storeys,
ground floor has six windows, mainly 2-light casements, some with glazing bars;
in bay 4 is a 4-light casement probably replacing former doorway, and extreme
right is a small shop window. Between 1 and 2 a C20 door to segmental head with
voussoirs and left of shop window a Cl9 plank door with glazed panel under C20
pent roof on posts. First floor has five windows, 2-light in left part and
3-light to right half. Four large rendered rubble stacks, raised in brick; to
right partly external to gable, with one sash low left. Back has various exten-
sions. One storey extension to right not of special interest. A modest
terrace, important to the village centre, adjoining the end of Cross Manor (qv).
