SX85NW Front Garden Area Wall
6/29 and Gateway with
Mounting Block
Immediately South of
Combe Farmhouse

GV II

Garden area wall, gateway and mounting block. Circa 1830. Local stone rubble
with brick gateway arch. The house is at right angles to the road therefore
the side wall of the front garden fronts the road and ramps up to the front
of the house to the right and has a brick round arched gateway at the left end
with a keystone and a plank door. The wall returns in front of the house
retaining a triangular front garden area which is raised above the road level.
There is a mounting block vent to a pedestrian gateway to the farm track in
front of the garden.
