Stable block at Shirley Hall
GV II


Stable block with loft over. Mid C19. Red brick with plain tile roof. L-plan.
Single storey with lofts. West elevation has small chamfered Gothic windows and
segmental-arched doorways with patterned brick arches, in the rhythm from left to
right, A, B, A, A, B, A, B, A, B, A. The last window has been partially bricked up.
The doorways have chamfered surrounds and stable type doors. One gabled dormer
above with a segmental-arched granary opening. Return range has similar doorways.
