House. C17 or earlier with later additions and alterations. Timber framed and
plastered with some pargetting, weatherboarding to right wall. Red plain tiled
roofs. 4 red brick chimney stacks. Mainly 2 storeys and attics. Of complex
plan, now with 2 gabled ranges to left and forward range to right. This of 2
storeys with external central chimney stack. The ground floor of the 2 left
ranges has 2 C20 forward gables to left with C20 casement and C20 panelled door,
C20 central 2 arched timber porch, gable over with 3 light casement, this with
parget plaster. To the right of the porch is a red tiled lean-to extension with
one 3 light casement. 1:1:2 window range to first floor, all C20 vari-light
leaded casements. Reputed to contain on the ground floor an original panelled
room with moulded cornice and stop chamfered bridging joists. RCHM 11.
