GV II

House, now a pair of cottages. C15/C16 or earlier origin with later
alterations. Red brick right return and brick plinth. Red pantiled roof, hipped
to left with gablet, C19 outshot at rear. Central red brick square attached
chimney stack. 2 storeys. 2 window range of various casements, with pentice
board to right. C20 doors to returns. Interior features to ground floor of
right cottage (2) include stop chamfered bridging joist, C18 panelled corner
cupboard with curved edges to shelves, original door hinges and brick floor.
C19 cast iron grate, wooden surround with overmantel. Vertically boarded doors
with original ironmonery throughout. C18 stairs wind around chimney stack.
C15/C16 cambered tie beam to first floor and jowled storey posts. C19/C20
copper in outshot. No inspection of left cottage (1) at time of resurvey.
