Public House. C18/C19 features of possibly earlier origin, with later
alterations. Painted brick. Hipped grey slate roof. Right, left and central
gault brick chimney stacks. Moulded parapet. Of 6 bays, the 4 central bays
break forward. Plinth, central band. 2 storeys. 1:4:1 window range of small
paned vertically sliding sashes, gauged brick arches. Ground floor with
carriageway to left bay, frieze and cornice over. 2 central and 1 right
vertically sliding sash windows. Doors to right and left of central bays,
moulded surrounds, frieze, flat canopies on scroll brackets. Elaborate cast
iron scroll lamp bracket to ground floor left. Iron scrollwork bracket to
central name board.
