Farmhouse. Early C17. Coursed rubblestone, plain tile roof, north
east range C18 and thatched. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays and 1½
storey north east range. Entry between left hand bay and in front of
stack on 'lobby-entry' plan. 6 panel door in heavy frame with moulded
architraves, and a flat hood with panelled soffit on long cut scroll
brackets. Triple headed casements, and to left hand first floor window,
other 2 3-light stone mullioned windows, C17, also leaded. Evidence of
mullions and stone frames to other windows. Stone coped gable ends
on kneelers. Brick stacks to gables and between left hand bays.
Thatched range former stable and hayloft, blocked opening on street front.
Gable has 2 small ground floor windows, gable casement and triangular
vent in apex. Gabled dormer window at rear of house. Interior has
some C18 oak panelling and an early C19 staircase. RCHM II 253.4.
