12/12 Barn approximately 60 metres
north west of Banisters
G.V. II
Barn. Early C18. Timber framed, brick plinth, weatherboard cladding, old
tile half hipped roof, and part corrugated iron. Rectangular plan of 5
framed bays, later aisles on east; Midstrey in centre bay on east side.
Double trenched purlin roof with arch braced collars, curved kneebraces,
straight windbraces over midstrey. Posts have jowls in middle bay only.
Carpenters marks on each truss in correct sequence. The barn was originally
part of Banisters Farm.
