2/134 Braggs Farmhouse
II
Detached Farmhouse. C16 core, very much altered in the C17 and C18. Coursed
rubble-stone walls. Slate roofs with gable ends. Stone stack at ridge,
centre left, and a brick stack, rebuilt C20, at right hand gable. Two storeys.
3 windows, 2-light C20 wood casements with horizontal glazing-bars and tiled
cills. Cambered stone arches over. 2 plank doors. C20 entrance door at
centre (lobby entrance). C20 door at left hand end into dairy. Loft doors
on brick gable end, and at rear. Interior: compartmented ceiling-beams
(6 compartments), with moulded beams and wall-plates, C16. Open fireplace
in right end room, with rebuilt jambs. Staircase position against front lobby,
with a plank door. C19 brick outshut at rear, with corrugated asbestos roof,
and plank door.
