Detached Farmhouse. Later C18 front range, with early C19 range added at right
angles to rear. Rubble-stone walls and ashlar stone quoins. Slate roofs, with
stone gable-copings, with finials and moulded kneelers. Dressed stone stacks
with moulded cornices. Carved head, in high detail, set into south gable, C19.
2 storeys. 2 windows, 3-light stone mullions (convex section coming to a
central arris). Separate labels over. Iron and metal casements. Rear range,
same height has stone mullion windows, C19. Porch on south wall, gabled.
Entrance has moulded jambs and round head, now blocked and C20 window. C20
plank door now put on east side. Rear door, further west, plank, C19. Stone
canopy over, carried on moulded stone brackets. (RCHM Dorset I, p.122(14))
