ST 50 SE RAMPISHAM UPHALL

Farmhouse, now attached at south end. Early-mid Cl7. Rubble-
stone walls. Thatch roof with gable-end at left hand, and
party wall at right hand. Brick stacks at left hand gable,
renewed, and at ridge right of centre, C19. 1½ storeys. 3
windows. 4-light and, 3-light stone mullions (ovolos) with
separate labels over ground floor. Iron casements with lead
lights. Right hand end has wood-framed windows, with iron
casements leaded. Door, left of centre, plank with 2 top
lights, C20. Interior: open fireplace in left hand end, stone
jambs and wood lintel, C17. C18 brick fireplace inserted in
right hand room, with segmental head. Mid-chamfered ceiling-
beams.
