Chest tomb. Late C18. Sandstone. Tent-like top to moulded edge to inset
corners, heavy bolstered ends, elliptical panel with low relief floral spandrels
north side and plain panel south side, base sunk at time of survey, September
1983. Earliest legible inscription to Joseph Tamplin, 1778, on south panel.
This memorial lies cl.5m south of another Tamplin memorial (qv).
