A timber-framed house, probably of C16-C17 origin but much altered in the C18. Renovated in
the C20 when a gabled cross wing was added on the east end. The original block is 1 storey
and attics. 2 window range, casements with leaded lights. A central porch projects on the
front. Roof tiled, with 2 gabled dormers. The interior has exposed timber-framing.

The Church of St Martin, Little Waltham Hall, Hulmans and The Old Rectory form a group.
