A C15 timber-framed and plastered house with central hall and cross wings at the
east and west ends. Altered in the C17 and later. The cross wings are jettied
on the upper storey on the north front. 2 storeys. 4 window range, Cl8 and C19
double-hung sashes, sane with glazing bars. The ground storey windows are mainly
3-light. Roof tiled, with a Cl7 chimney stack at the east end with diagonally
set shafts. (RCHM 8 Gt Leighs).
