GV II

House, late C17/early C18, divided into 2 dwellings. Timber framed, plastered,
roofed with handmade red clay tiles and slate. 2 parallel ranges aligned
approximately N-S, aspect E, originally with central passage. Chimney stack at
N end of E range. C20 extensions to rear. 2 storeys. One 4-panel door, upper
panels glazed (White Steading), one 6-panel door with top panels glazed (Lower
House), 2 C18 splayed bays of double-hung sash windows of 4-20-4 lights with
flat roofs, one C20 double-hung sash window of 12 lights. First floor, 2 double-
hung sash windows of 20 lights, C18. Some crown glass. Front pitch of front
roof of slate, all the remainder of tiles. C18 detailing internally, including
cupboards.
