TL 72 NE GOSFIELD HALL DRIVE

approx. 20 metres north

Horse Gin. C19. Timber framed on a 2 feet red brick plinth. Hipped octagonal
red tiled roof with lead ridging. Wall framing with V bracing to uprights.
King post roof with moulded capital. Vertical octagonal wooden main shaft with
down braces to wheel shafts. Iron braces to four timber harness shafts.
Harness loop complete with chains. Driving wheel complete with cogs and pins
is inside a low brick protection wall. Shaft underground to adjacent well q.v.
