First half of C18, substantia1 town house with ground floor now converted
to premises of National Westminster Bank. Vitreous brick with red brick
dressings, hipped old tiled roof. 3 storeys, elaborate moulded, modillioned,
and dentil wooden cornice carried round central projection which has similar
pediment. 6 bay front with angle pilasters to projecting centre. 2:2:2
sash windows have glazing bars segmental arched heads. Central 2 fold
6 panelled door in elaborate doorway with architrave surround and keyblock,
oblong fanlight with ornamental glazing outer surround of fluted Roman
Doric pilasters, entablature with pulvinated frieze, dentil cornice and
pediment. Plain wrought iron railings to front Recessed on left is modern
staircase wing. Interior?
