LateC18, ashlar stone, shallow pitched slate roof, wide moulded verges to
gables, brick chimney stacks. Central triangular pediment within which is
a segmental arch with keystone. Moulded wooden eaves cornice. Three storeys
with stone first floorband. Segmental arch in centre with wide architrave breaking into floor band. Three windows each side, modern plate glass in old openings. Five windows to first floor (spaced 1:2:2) and three on second
floor all barred double hung sashes in plain stone architraves with
keystones and moulded cills. Rubblestone gable to High Street South, and
2-storey rear wing with one large sash window to ground floor and carriage
entry adjacent to No 26 (q.v.), two sash windows to first floor.
