House. Early C18, possibly raised later C18, with later alterations
and C19-C20 extension to right. Chequer brick, old tile roof, brick
chimney to right. Single pile with hipped stair turret to centre
rear and outshot to rear of left bay. 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays.
Chamfered plinth, gauged first floor band course, moulded wooden
eaves cornice. C20 paired barred wooden casements with gauged heads.
Attic casements in hipped dormers with moulded cornices. Blind window
panel to centre of first floor over blocked doorway with C20 matching
panel and small round window. Sun fire insurance plaque. Left gable
has letters HIA in blue header brick, and C19-C20 canted bay window. Set
back to right are brick extensions with plain tile roofs and barred
wooden casements. Half-glazed door to left with pediment hood and
flanking single lights. Interior has good early C18 staircase with
3 twisted balusters to each tread, shaped scroll tread ends, moulded
handrail and fluted column newels. Re-set pine fireplace in ground floor
left room, with moulded architrave, frieze block and cornice; re-set
wooden bolection moulding to fireplace in upper right room.
