Group of five vases
and base,
about 20 yards west
of Wimpole Hall

GV II

Group of five vases. Mid C19. Limestone. Centre vase in two stages. The
lower stage has a larger bowl and is enriched with fluting and gadrooning and
has beading to the rim. The upper stage is in the form of a basket with
trellis work on a baluster stem with console bracket and swag enrichment. At
each corner is a vase of similar basketwork with curved lip and claw feet. On
a paved stone base, square in plan.
