Milestone. Mid C18 on turnpike road from London to Exeter. Sandstone with cast iron plate.Block with rounded top, c1m high, 400 mm wide and 300 mm deep; shaped plate rears 'WINCANTON 9 HINDON 5'. Top with bench mark. Lies back from road edge c.3m.
