Farmhouse. Dated "W T". Coursed dressed stone, stone slate roof.
1849
Early C18 in style, with C17-type through-passage plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
Flat faced mullion windows. South front: bay 1: 6-light window (2 right-hand
lights formerly a doorway) with 5-light window above; on right, chamfered
quoined doorway with deep Tudor-arched lintel with sunk spandrels. Bay
2: 6-light window to each floor; dated plaque to right of lst-floor window.
Bay 3: 5-light window to each floor. Coping. End stacks and ridge stack
to right of door, all with chamfered capstones. Rear: bay 1: 5-light window
to each floor. Bay 2: chamfered quoined doorway masked by C20 gabled outshut
with inserted 1-light window to left and 5-light window above. Bay 3: added
outshut with 5-light window above. Interior: fireplace in left-hand room
has deep lintel and chamfered ledge. Fireplace in right-hand room has deep
lintel, chamfered and with rounded corner to soffit.
