Barn approx 10 metres to
east of Pickwood House

Barn with cottage over mistal. Early-mid C18. Coursed squared stone, stone slate
roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Flat-faced mullion windows. Roadside front: pointed-
round-arched chamfered cart-entry flanked by chamfered arched vents. Right bay
has mistal doorway with plain stone surround, C20 window to left, and windows of
3 and 2 lights above. End stack to right. Rear: opposing chamfered quoined cart-
entry with cambered chamfered timber lintel; corbel above to left (possibly to
support a former canopy) and chamfered rectangular vent to right. Left bay has
a mistal doorway with plain stone surround and above it a window of 4, now 2,
lights. Left return: canted with plain-stone-surround doorway on left, 2-light
window on right, and blocked lunette with ledge above. Right return: due to the
slope of the land the 1st floor is at ground level and has a plain-stone-surround
doorway to right.
