Masonic Hall and gates, gate piers and boundary wall to area

Masonic Hall. Opened 1851. Dressed stone. Hipped slate roof with
moulded eaves cornice and blocking course. 2 storeys and basement,
with string course. 3 bay symmetrical gable front to simple hall.
Centre bay breaks forward and is pedimented with carved Masonic symbol
of set square and compass in tympanum. Rusticated quoins at ground
floor level of simple pilasters to 1st floor flank centre bay.
Doorway has semicircular fanlight and simple pilaster surrounds and
full entablature. Ground floor windows have rounded hipped architraves.
1st floor windows are round arched with shouldered architraves. All
with glazing bars. Plain basement openings.

Flight of stone steps with flanking walls each with ornamental iron
lamp standard.

Low boundary wall with iron railings and gates.
