4/10 Clifford Moor Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, c1830. For the Bramhan'Park estate. Ashlar magnesian limestone,
Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with cellars, 3 bays; double-depth plan; lower
2-storey wing set back on right. Main house: plinth; central 6-panel door
and fanlight with radial glazing bars flanked by sashes with glazing bars
with projecting stone sills and flat arches. 1st floor has similar shorter
windows. Overhanging eaves to hipped roof with stone stacks set on the side
ridges. Wing on right has door and fanlight with radial glazing bars on left
of a wide casement beneath flat arch; 2 casements to 1st floor. Lower 1-
storey addition to right has door with segmentally-arched lintel and small
casement window. Said to be one of four farmhouses built in this style for
the Lane-Fox family of Bramham Park.
