Terrace. Early-mid C19. Ashlar magnesian limestone facades, Welsh slate
roof. L-shaped range. 2 storeys; 7 windows to first floor facing High
Street, 4 windows to first floor facing Spa Lane on right return. Nos 207
and 209, on left, are a reflected pair with central through-passage flanked
by 6-panel doors under fanlights with glazing bars and quoined round arches
on imposts; to each side is a tripartite bow window with projecting stone
sill to sashes of 8, 12 and 8 panes; each house has two sashes with glazing
bars to 1st floor with projecting stone sills and flat arches. There is a
straight joint between Nos 209 and 211, the latter being as No 207 but with
C20 door and no sash window over. No 213 is similar to No 211 but has an
extra bay on right with shop window in wooden surround beneath sash as rest.
Nos 207 and 209 have end stacks with bands; Nos 211 and 213 have paired
gutter brackets, a ridge stack and cement-rendered stack rising from slope of
hipped right end of roof. Right return (No 1 Spa Lane): C20 stone porch
flanked by unequally-hung 15-pane sashes with projecting sills and flat
arches. No 2 has passage to left of glazed porch and sash with glazing bars
on each floor to right; C20 casement over the passage; stone end stack on
right.
