Public house. Late C18. Stuccoed brick with magnesian limestone wing (No 2,
Horsefair) on left return; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys and attic, 6 windows
to 1st floor; twin-roofed with wings to rear right and to rear left. Central
stone doorcase with pilasters, double keystone and pediment; to its right an
unequally-hung 15-pane sash. Outer bays have bow windows with plinths and
projecting sills to tripartite sashes with glazing bars; the left-hand bow is
shallower and has a central 16-pane sash. 1st floor: unequally-hung 15-pane
sashes with projecting sills and raised keystones. Ashlar gable copings on
left; cement-rendered end stacks and ridge stack to right of centre. Left
return of main range has a sashed 1-storey bow window on left. 3-storey, 3-
bay wing on left (No 2, Horsefair) has exposed stonework to bays 1 and 2 with
panelled door beneath flat arch and two 12-pane casements to ground floor;
two 16-pane sashes to 1st floor and 2nd-floor windows having one unequally-
hung 12-pane sash and one matching casement; all have projecting sills, the
ground- and lst-floor windows have flat arches.
