railings and gatepiers to
front yard of The Old
Zetland school.

Retaining wall to street and end returns, with railings, and gatepiers at
end of right return, c.1871. Dressed sandstone and iron. Flat-topped
copings support barleysugar railings with fleur-de-lys finials. Fluted
intermediate rails have inverted palmette ornamental bases and urn finials.
Stop-chamfered gatepiers have chamfered pyramidal caps with flat tops.
Included for group value.
